The Cycle Centre has operated since 1990 and owner Andrew Hanlon has ridden, assembled, repaired and serviced almost every type of bike. A competitive BMX rider in his early years he moved to mountain bike racing and road cycling around the Wellington region. The Cycle Centre sponsors and supports many community organisations and schools, and is involved in educating local groups on cycling skills.

Ken is a enthusiastic competitive BMX racer, and Sharon, Adam and Marshall are keen cyclists on and off the road.
